Air Pollution Management
To ensure effective air quality management, Bont Biotechnology addresses air pollutants generated from its manufacturing processes and equipment operations by implementing multiple control measures in accordance with the Air Pollution Control Act and relevant regulations. These measures ensure proper treatment of pollutants and reduce potential impacts on the environment and employee health.
Sources of Air Pollution and Control Measures
- Sources:
Particulate matter and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) generated from injection molding processes at the Yilan Second Plant and the Yilan Science Park Plant. - Control Measures:
- Air pollution control equipment has been installed to collect emissions at the source, followed by centralized treatment prior to discharge, preventing the release of untreated gases.
- An ozone microbubble treatment technology has been introduced. Compared with conventional wet scrubbers, this technology offers higher decomposition efficiency, significantly enhancing pollutant removal performance. The total organic carbon (TOC) removal efficiency is approximately 1.3 times that of traditional systems.
Air Pollution Management System and Regulatory Compliance
- Compliance with the “Fixed Pollution Source Management Regulations” and “VOCs Emission Standards” promulgated by the Ministry of Environment.
- Regular maintenance, inspections, and improvement of pollution control facilities are conducted, along with on-site inspections and emission reporting in coordination with the competent authorities.
- In 2025, there were no violations of air pollution regulations and no major pollution incidents, demonstrating the Company’s commitment to regulatory compliance and environmental sustainability.
