Chest Valve
- One-way valve used for pleural space drainages, which prevents the return of gases or fluids into the pleural space.
- Ideal for safety during patient mobility or for use at home after a short period of time when chest tube removal cannot be performed.
- Material:PVC
- Two configuration:flutter valve type and duckbill valve type.
- Middle transparent chamber: Connector indicating flow direction.
- At the proximal junction, a schematic representation of the lungs is drawn. The red end is attached to the chest tube.
- At the distal junction, Illustration of the collection bag is drawn. The clear end of the valve is left open to allow the excess air to escape.
- Supplied sterile in peel-open packages and intended for one-time use.
