internal audit
The internal audit function operates as an independent unit directly reporting to the Board of Directors. In addition to regularly attending board meetings to provide reports, it also reports to the Chairperson, independent directors, and senior management as needed.
The company has established an internal audit system and formulates an annual audit plan based on the results of the yearly audits and the identified risk levels of various cycles. This plan is executed after approval by the Board of Directors. The scope of the audit covers all operational activities of the company and its subsidiaries. The internal audit function provides management with insights into existing or potential issues through internal auditing and control activities. Records are maintained for corrective actions, improvements, and preventive measures identified during audits, and these results are reported to management.
Both the company and its subsidiaries conduct an internal control self-assessment at least once a year. The self-assessment results are reviewed by the audit department to ensure quality, and the consolidated results are reported to the Board of Directors and senior management. These results serve as a primary basis for assessing the effectiveness of the internal control system and for issuing the internal control declaration.
Appointment and Dismissal of Internal Audit Personnel
According to Article 3 of the company’s Corporate Governance Best Practice Principles, the appointment, evaluation, and compensation of internal audit personnel must be signed by the head of the audit department and submitted to the company’s Chairperson for approval. The evaluation is conducted annually.
